GoodNotes is a freemium app, which means you can download it for free and use its most important features to see if it suits your needs. If it does and you want more, consider upgrading to the full version, which gives you even more tools to leverage your productivity.

Know the benefits

Once you’ve reached the 3-notebook limit of the free version, you won’t be able to do any of the following:

• Creating new notebooks.
• Editing any existing ones (you’ll be in read-only mode).

After unlocking GoodNotes, you’ll get the following extra features:

• Creating / Importing unlimited notebooks/files.
• Searching handwriting and converting it to text.
• Importing documents by email. See Email to GoodNotes.
• Sharing a document on the web with non-GoodNotes users. See Share the document for collaboration.

Unlock all features

1. From the Documents / Shared / Favorites tab of the Library View, tap the ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner.
2. Choose Unlock All Features.

<aside> ℹ️ As an existing paying user, if you reinstall the app on the same device, or redownload it on another, the freshly installed app should recognize you as having purchased it and automatically give you full access, as long as you’re logged into the Apple ID that made the original in-app purchase. In the rare event you’re not recognized, you will need to manually tap the Restore Purchase button.
