You can insert content of several types and from several sources with the appropriate note-taking tools on the toolbar:

Write

• Select the Pen Tool from the toolbar, then write on the page.

Highlight

• Select the Highlighter Tool from the toolbar, then swipe over the content you want to stand out.

Highlight / Strike out PDF text

If you're working on an imported PDF document, you can also highlight (or strike out) some of its text.

1. Long-press the text.
2. If needed, adjust the selection via the two small blue handles that appear.
3. Choose Highlight or Strikeout.

Insert a shape

Select the Shape Tool from the toolbar, then do any of the following:

• Draw the rough shape in one stroke (i.e. without lifting your stylus). The shape will be corrected as soon as you lift your stylus.
• Draw the rough shape in one stroke, but hold your stylus tip at the end of the stroke. As soon as the shape is corrected, if you keep holding the stylus and move its tip, the shape will change accordingly. This method also works with The Pen Tool.
