GoodNotes comes with a wide variety of covers/templates that should meet the most common note-taking needs. If your work requires special or personalized templates, however, you can add them all to GoodNotes.
Every PDF or image file can be used as a custom cover or paper template.
Open GoodNotes menu.
Choose Notebook Templates
.
Select the paper size and layout that match those of the covers/templates to be added. For example, if you’re adding an A4-sized template in portrait (i.e. vertical orientation), select “A4” from the first dropdown list and “Portrait” from the second:

preview.You will see several template groups in the lower section. To add your covers/templates to a specific group, scroll to the end of the list under that group and tap Import

Choose an import method:
Add one or more covers/templates from the Files app (recommended): Tap From Files
.
Import one file: Tap on it.
Import multiple files: Tap Select
near the upper right corner of the Files interface, select those files, and tap Open
.

<aside> 💡 For best results, add a PDF instead of an image. For example, add an A4-sized PDF instead of an image having the same dimensions in pixels of the A4 size.

<aside> ℹ️ If you add a multi-page PDF as a custom cover/template, only its first page is added. If you want to use the PDF as a template document (e.g. a multi-page contract), import it to your library instead and duplicate it.

Add a cover/template from the Photos app: Tap From Photos
, then tap a photo.
