With the Text Tool, you can easily jot down notes in text boxes that you can move around. If you're looking to do some full-page typing, check out Typing Mode.
With the tool selected, you can do any of the following:
Tap anywhere on the page and type or paste from the clipboard.
<aside> ℹ️ If you create or paste a large amount of text, it won’t go past page boundaries and is hidden until moved into full view. To avoid this, try to copy and paste text in smaller chunks, or resize the entire text box to make it fit the page.

If you’ve copied text, whether from within Goodnotes or an external app, like a web browser, there are two ways to paste the text onto a Goodnotes page as a new text box. Just long-press on the page and choose a paste option:
