What It Does

Use the Tape Tool to hide and reveal text in your notebook. It's a helpful way to study by testing your memory, a method known as active recall. You can use it when you don't want to Study with Study Sets.

How to Use It

Cover content

• With the Tape Tool selected, run your stylus over the content.

Uncover content

• While using the Pen Tool or Tape Tool, finger-tap the tape.

Use a preset stroke

• Tap one of the stroke slots in the contextual section located on the right-hand side.
• To customize this slot, tap it again and adjust the thickness slider.

Set tape style

• Tap one of the color/pattern slots in the contextual section located on the right-hand side.

• To customize this slot, tap it again and choose a color/pattern for the slot. Tape patterns are displayed below the solid color options:

Add another color/pattern slot to the toolbar

You have the option to add up to 12 color/pattern slots, making it easy to switch between them whenever you need to.

1. Tap the Add Slot icon at the end of the scrollable contextual section:

   

2. Choose a color/pattern for the new slot.
