Overview

The Library View is home to your own documents and those shared with you. When you launch Goodnotes for the very first time, it's the first thing you see. Initially, it's empty, but as you start creating your notes, your creations will appear here. The Library View provides tools to manage your documents, search them, and get new items to enrich your library.

From the Document View, you can get to the Library View via the Home icon in the top left corner.

The Library View has several Tabs that you can access by tapping the Sidebar icon in the top-left corner:

• Documents Tab: This tab is the main place for managing your notes. You’ll find a Search icon (”magnifying glass”) at the top, which allows you to search for anything that might help locate particular notes, including the title or content within the note. • Favorites Tab: This tab shows you all of your bookmarked folders/documents/pages.
• Shared Tab: This section shows all documents shared by or with you. See Share a document with other people.
• Marketplace: Browse our Marketplace for new templates and stickers to bring out the best in your notes.

Common Interface Elements

Although different tabs in the Library View serve different purposes, most of them share some recognizable icons to help with your library management workflow.

Below the tab header, you'll find the Filter menu, which shows only a specific type of items you choose:

At the top right, you'll find In-app Notification, and Goodnotes menu.

• In-app Notification: This keeps notifications that require your attention, for example, when it’s time to review a study set, or when someone else comments on a shared document.
• Goodnotes Menu: This menu lets you manage further details of your subscription and settings of the app.
