This FAQ addresses common questions about the data we collect during the beta testing period for our new Beta Features. Our goal is to be transparent about what we collect and how we use it to improve your Goodnotes experience.
1. What data is Goodnotes collecting during the Beta program?
During the beta period, we collect several types of data to help us enhance and troubleshoot the new features. This includes:
- Usage Data and Feedback: We gather information on how you interact with the Beta Features, as well as any feedback you proactively submit through our designated channels.
- Technical Information: This includes data related to bugs you encounter and the overall performance of the features on your device. This helps us identify and fix issues.
- Feature Feedback and Suggestions: We collect your opinions on the new features and any suggestions you have for improvements.
- Inputs and Outputs: Any text, documents, or other content you submit to the AI features ("Input") and the responses generated by the AI ("Output") may be collected. This also includes conversation histories and logs from your interactions with the AI.
- Notebook: We may process data from the Notebook that you access while using the AI Beta Features.
This data is collected only with your consent in accordance with the data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
2. Why is this data being collected?
The primary purpose of collecting this data is to improve the AI Beta Features. Specifically, we use it to:

If you do not wish for your data to be collected you may also withdraw your consent to this data collection at any time in settings.
5. What are my rights regarding my "Input" data?
You are responsible for your "Input" (text, documents, etc.) that you submit to the AI Beta Features. You must ensure that your Input does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
