Supported formats

Goodnotes is capable of importing a variety of file formats that can be annotated:

Import files as new documents

Import from within the app

  1. In the Documents tab of the Library View, open the folder you want to import a file into.
  2. Choose New > Import.
  3. Select a file.

Goodnotes Pro users can import files directly from a cloud storage.

Apple

  1. Choose +New > Import from Cloud Storage.

  2. Choose a supported cloud storage > Connect, and authorize. Once done, you’ll see Import and Disconnect buttons under the cloud storage entry.

  3. Choose Import and select a file.

  4. The next time you import, simply choose +New and select a connected cloud storage at the bottom:

You can manage cloud storage connections from Goodnotes menu > Integrations > Cloud Storage.

Android, Windows, and Web

  1. Choose +New and select a supported cloud storage at the bottom*:*

  2. Connect to the cloud storage if you haven’t.

  3. Choose a file from that cloud storage to import.

(Apple only) Import from an external app

  1. Switch to the other app, then do either of the following:
  2. Tap Share (or Open In..., Send a copy, or the like) in that app.
